Brain and Behaviour Enhancement was founded by Dr. Mary O’Connor and is made up of a community of specialists in supporting fields that share insight and expertise where required for the benefit of each unique client.

Dr. Mary O’Connor, director of Brain and Behaviour Enhancement, is passionate about enabling children and young people to be the best version of themselves and has spent more than 25 years dedicated to doing so.

She is a qualified Neuro-developmental Treatment specialist and was the first full time practitioner in this field in Ireland. She is also a registered nurse and midwife. She holds an MA (Hons.) in Advanced Therapeutic Child Care and later completed her PhD exploring the effects of early childhood adversity on social interaction and school engagement on a cohort of 8 – 12 year-old children. Dr. O’Connor also holds diplomas in Sociology, Microbiology and Physiology from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Dr. O’Connor has presented at conferences and led numerous seminars and workshops in schools, Education Centres and clinics as well as support centres all over Ireland and also in the UK. She was involved in training occupational therapist and educational professionals in the implemtation of the INPP NDT programme.
